About Us

We are a family owned RV park that enjoys the outdoors and Texas in all its beauty. This is our second RV Park. We love the area where this Park is located. The small town feel but being so close to a big city opens the door for a variety of adventure. The community is wonderful with lots of Texas friendly people, wonderful restaurants and beautiful country. We highly recommend you spend a night or two in the area and we feel certain you will be back for a second or even third visit.

Since this is our second park we learned a few things from the first. We have learned that the more space the better, so we don’t feel your stay should be crowded next to your neighbor. We made the spots roomy for you to park your camper and have a little more room to walk around. We want you to relax and enjoy God’s Country because it is beautiful.

We are centrally located between Bandera, Boerne, Lake Medina, and San Antonio and allows the residents multiple choices of local attractions, restaurants, and activities. You can enjoy the rodeo in Bandera, while your wife enjoys the La Cantera mall in San Antonio which is about 25 minutes away.

Although we are not located by a lake or river, we are located on high-level ground with a pleasant breeze to help tame the Texas heat. The sunsets are great, and the wildlife is abundant on our 76-acre property. The front of the property is where the park is located, and the rear of the property is available for hiking and wildlife viewing. 

We also can cater to the horse community as we have horse stables and pasture available for your horses to graze and rest from a long day of riding in the area Texas Parks and Wildlife Hill Country State Natural Area or the area rodeos. If your horse trailer is equipped with only a bed, don’t let that deter you. You can use our showers and restroom facilities during your stay for all the comforts of home. Our spaces are 90’ long and 30’ wide so even the largest of trailers will fit with ease. We have plenty of room for storage of ancillary vehicles and/or trailers if needed.

Welcome to Lightning Ranch RV Park!!! We love our Park because it is so quiet and peaceful. When you visit the park you will notice lots of wildlife including birds, butterflies, deer, rabbits and all our guests’ fur babies. We hope your fur babies get to stop by the dog park! It is big!! Plenty of room to throw that ball !!!

You will also meet Jim and Barbara , our managers of the park.  They live at the park in site #1 and have been with us since we opened the park. They are the best!!! The park is what it is today with the help of Jim and Barbara. They will also spoil your fur babies so get ready! All the fur babies love them and we do as well. We want to thank you ahead of time for visiting with us either via our website or stopping by the park for a stay.

We are working on Phase 2 of the park which will be open in early 2024 and include an additional 46 sites. This is just in time for the Big Eclipse event that our park is in line for one of the best seats in the house to view.
